TROPICÁLIA KITCHEN

Chefs Raquel Oliveira and Luana Perrotta were both born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, but it was only in New Orleans that they stumbled across each other and little we knew how much we were about to do together!

 

In 2017, they started producing Brazilian Festivals as a way to make up for all the things we missed from home. After a handful of fun packed events they decided to quit their full time restaurant jobs and explore the pop up and catering world as Tropicalia Kitchen.

 

The name Tropicália was inspired by a bountiful cultural movement from Brazil. Like the Tropicálismo movement, they present a borderless and creative food experience with a fusion of ingredients, flavors and styles from Brazil and beyond!

While the focus is on catering and private chef experiences, Tropicália also do pop ups bringing authentic Brazilian street food to New Orleans bars.
